About
Kristen Pennycuff Trent, PhD, is a professor of literacy education. After teaching elementary school for over six years, she has spent more than twenty years working with undergraduate and graduate programs both on the main campus and in the 2+2 program. Dr. Pennycuff Trent is passionate about inspiring candidates to become creative and compassionate educators that advocate for children, families, and the profession. When not working with TTU or the Literacy Association of Tennessee, she can be found spending time with her family at their Christmas tree farm, cooking, reading, or traveling.
