Welcome to OTE!
The Office of Teacher Education (OTE) serves the College of Education & Human Sciences' undergraduate and graduate students, pursuing teaching degrees and licensure, as well as licensed education professionals seeking additional endorsement opportunities.
We provide degree concentrations and resources preparing students to achieve their initial teaching license in variety of K-12 subjects. Post-baccalaureate students (those with a bachelor's degree) may also achieve licensure with or without an advanced degree.
To become an educator in the state of Tennessee, you must complete a licensure program at an approved college or university and then be licensed by the Tennessee Department of Education.
We are dedicated to the development and training of highly qualified professionals as they pursue their education and career goals while inspiring and educating future generations.
