Electrical and Computer Engineering Graduate Student Awarded Prestigious IEEE Student Scholarship

Md. Ebrahim Khalil, a graduate student in electrical and computer engineering, was
awarded the 2025 IEEE Power & Energy Society Outstanding Student Scholarship of $10,000
at the societys General Meeting in July in Austin, TX.

Tennessee Tech electrical engineering major Jack Bender, a junior from Franklin, Tenn.,
is the latest recipient of the U.S. Department of Defense SMART scholarship, which
will cover the full cost of his tuition for the upcoming year and includes guaranteed
civilian employment with the DoD following his graduation.
