After Exams Are Processed
Once your exams are processed, students can schedule! Here is more information about your role once that happens:
- 罈 Making Edits
At this point, the only edit you can make to your exam in RegisterBlast is attaching a file.
All other edits must must be emailed to tlc@tntech.edu. This can include edits to the exam window, allotted minutes, additional exam instructions, and adding students to the class list and email list.
- 罈 Extending Exam Window
Some of your students may miss your original exam window for a variety of reasons, including forgetting to schedule, illness, not showing up for their scheduled exam, etc. Whatever the reason, if you wish that student to still test with us, you'll need to email tlc@tntech.edu to extend the window.
- 罈 Checking on Student Progress
You can check in RegisterBlast to see which students have scheduled for your exam. If they already took it, you can see what time they checked in and out for their exam.
- Login to
- Click "History" in the top right corner
- Select the dates you want to view, and click "Apply"
- If you have multiple exams with us, you will see which exam(s) the students have scheduled/taken
- 罈 Irregularity Reports
If anything unusual happens while one of your students is taking your exam, you will receive an irregularity report via email. There are many reasons you may receive a report, but the most common include:
- power failure
- internet loss (for computer-based exam)
- fire alarm
- malfunctioning software
- use of unauthorized aids
- iLearn exam is not open
We fill out the irregularity report before we leave for the night. Depending on how many exams we are proctoring that day, you may receive it within 5 minutes or it might not be until 9pm that night.
It is up to you on what you do with the irregularity report information. You may want to ask us some follow-up questions, extend the exam window, consult with the student, etc.
- 罈 Picking up Materials/Exams
You may have physical items (exams, scratch paper, formula sheets, notes, etc.) that you need to pick up after your exam window has closed. If so, you (or a non-student person you designated when you submitted your exam in RegisterBlast) will need to show a photo ID to pick up the exams.
Please email ahead so we know you're coming. We ensure that there is always a TLC/Library employee in the testing room at all times. If you show up when only one proctor is working, you may have to wait a bit or come back later to pick them up. To save yourself a trip, email ahead to schedule a time, and we'll have your exams ready.
