1. Employees and Students

Do not park in visitor parking between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. If you are a student or employee who parks illegally in visitor parking, even to just run in for a few minutes, you will be ticketed.

2. Register your vehicle and park only where your virtual permit allows.

All vehicles parked on campus, including motorcycles, must be registered. If you are a visitor, visit tntech.edu/parking, choose Visitor Parking to create an account, and order a virtual parking permit. Students, faculty, and staff may register through their Tech Parking Portal.

3. Park only where your virtual permit allows.

Park only in lots or spaces specified by your virtual permit type and dont park in reserved spaces.

Suppose you have a state-issued accessible tag or placard and intend to utilize disability parking spaces on campus. In that case, you must provide a copy of your state-issued accessible parking permit and documentation showing that the permit is issued in your name. If you have a temporary mobility impairment, contact Health Services for assistance.

5. Need to load/unload equipment?

Ask permission first. If you need to load or unload equipment, you may be permitted to do so brieflyno longer than ten minutesonly if you are actively loading/unloading, do not impede the flow of traffic, and contact the Parking and Transportation Office at parking@tntech.edu to obtain permission first.

6. Vehicle Registration.

The person to whom the vehicle is registered will be held responsible for a ticket issued. Do not let someone borrow your car.

7. Parking Enforcement.

Parking enforcement is in effect when classes are in session, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Visitor, Accessible, and Reserved spaces are enforced at all times. Additionally, the Green and Teal Lots are enforced 24/7 during the fall and spring semesters.
